Edukasi Investasi Pasar Modal bagi Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Melalui Pengabdian Masyarakat
Abstract
The level of participation of young people in capital market investment in Indonesia continues to increase, but this condition is not fully balanced by an adequate understanding of investment instruments, investor risk profiles, and the basis for investment decision-making. This gap between investment interest and financial literacy levels has the potential to increase the risk of errors in investment activities. Therefore, capital market investment education activities were carried out at SMK Kristen Petra Surabaya through Community Service activities that combined material delivery, investor risk profile tests, capital market analysis demonstrations, and interactive discussions. The materials provided covered basic investment concepts, an introduction to investment instruments, investor risk profiles, fundamental analysis, and technical analysis. The results of the activities showed an increase in participants' understanding of capital market investment concepts, investment instrument characteristics, investor risk profiles, and the basis for analysis in investment decision-making. Participants' enthusiasm and participation also increased, particularly during the practical sessions on reading stock charts and interactive discussions. These activities demonstrated that a learning approach that integrates theory and practice directly can improve capital market investment literacy among the younger generation and provide a more applicable understanding of wise and measured investment activities.
